Introduction

The impressive amphitheatre of the Annapurna Sanctuary draws trekkers each year, enticed by the dramatic mountains and glaciers, including Annapurna I (8,091m), one of the world’s highest peaks. This trek can be completed in two weeks from the UK and is an excellent introduction to trekking, as the overall altitudes are relatively moderate and the trails are good. The itinerary is designed to provide a steady rate of acclimatisation, as well as the best views of the mountains as you enter the Sanctuary.
