Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your booking. The amount will be outlined during the booking process and will be required immediately. Deposits are transferable (for a fee) up to 90 days before the trek start date – please see our booking conditions for more details.

Transfers may be possible, normally no later than 90 days before the trek start date. If you wish to transfer your booking to someone else, please note that you will not be able to transfer any international flight that we have booked for you. A detailed equipment list is provided for each trip. We also offer an equipment hire service for certain items (for example, sleeping bed and down jacket).
Yes, we organise pre-trip weekends to discuss equipment, fitness, health, and acclimatisation. The dates of your weekend will be provided upon booking. Normally a number of teams meet over the weekend (for example, we run one ‘post-monsoon Nepal treks’ weekend, in September).
Inclusions vary by trip but generally cover accommodation, meals, guides, and group equipment. Specific details are provided in each trip description.
Accommodation ranges from hotels, lodges and tents, depending on the trip. Details are provided in the trip itinerary for each trek.
We provide experienced leaders, guides, and, where applicable, Sherpas or porters to support you throughout the expedition. Team members only need to carry a light daysack. In Nepal treks have a Sherpa for every 3 team members.
Our leaders and guides are trained to handle emergencies. All treks carry two means of communication, at least one of which would be a satellite communicator (either Satphone or InReach, or both where there is no mobile phone network coverage).
