For nearly 40 years Jagged Globe has been at the forefront of planning, organising and leading mountaineering expeditions, high-altitude treks, courses and backcountry skiing.

Experienced leadership is key to the success of your trek. Our treks are led by professional trek leaders, who are knowledgeable about the trek they are leading and have a track-record of working with groups. On selected treks we appoint qualified UK leaders to accompany the group (for example, on K2 Base Camp and Kilimanjaro via the Umbwe Route).
We are a small, independent company that cares about our staff and the relationships we have with our Destination Partners. Our UK staff have a huge amount of experience gained in the high mountains, as well as working in the travel industry for many years. We are active hill walkers, trekkers and mountaineers and we're here to advise you about any of our treks. If you'd like to meet us in person, you are welcome to visit us at our office in Sheffield or you can meet us virtually over Teams/Zoom.
Virtually all of our trips travel to mountains whose height exceeds 3,000m.
Our starting point when designing any itinerary is the ascent profile and ensuring that you have enough time to acclimatise naturally.
Our trip durations are therefore typically longer than most, but the extra time reduces the risk of getting altitude sickness.
We offer a free pre-trek training weekend in the Peak District, UK to help you prepare for your trek.
The weekend will cover topics such as altitude sickness, health and hygiene, clothing and equipment. It is also a chance to meet other team members and to learn more about your trek.

Managing Director
Simon came to Jagged Globe in 1995, after being in the British Army. He has been to Everest three times, including leadership of our successful 1996 expedition. More recently he has led treks in Nepal and in 2027 is heading to Chile.
Head of Operations
Ed joined Jagged Globe in 2015 having been involved in leading expeditions for them since 2001. As a qualified Mountaineering Instructor, Ed also works on Scottish Winter and Rock climbing courses. He has visited most major mountain ranges, with a lot of experience of South America, Nepal and India. Ed is responsible for the quality of your trek.
Accounts
Pauline has been our accountant since 2004. She has trekked in Bolivia and India and has even been known to tie into a rope every now and then for a spot of rock climbing!
Customer Support Manager
Rosie joined Jagged Globe in 2015 after completing her Physical Geography degree. Rosie will help you by answering your calls, emails, booking your flights and liaising with our agents. She has visited Nepal twice, trekking to the Annapurna Sanctuary and completing the challenging 'Everest 3 Peaks 3 Passes' trek.
Marketing Director
Tom joined Jagged Globe in 1999 and is responsible for developing our range of trips. Thesedays he gets stuck into most things, including booking flights. He is an experienced climber with first ascents in the UK, Canada and Greenland. Two of his favourite places are the Kangchenjunga region of Nepal and Alaska.
Operations Assistant
Natalie joined Jagged Globe in 2005. She has climbed Kilimanjaro, summited Stok Kangri, taken part in our Alpine Courses & more! A key member of our operations team managing our hotel and Alpine hut bookings.
Customer Support Assistant
Becky joined the team in 2022 and supports Rosie in Customer Support. She has a background in Customer Service and will help you with your enquiry, your booking, flights and any admin relating to your trip. In October 2026 she trekked to the Langtang Valley via Gosainkunda Lakes.

Dr David Hillebrandt is Jagged Globe’s Medical Advisor. An active mountaineer based in North Devon, David combines his professional expertise with a passion for climbing in remote locations.
